Credo partners with Church of the Open Door (COD) to offer music and relational ministry to the people of Santo Domingo Este. Over the past decade, COD has taken two dozen trips to partner with a local church there in Santo Domingo Este that will host and guide participants in their work.

Texas Mission Trip

In January of 2018 Credo partnered with John Knox Presbyterian Church, CitiImpact Ministries, and Antioch Baptist Church to offer music and aid in hurricane rebuilding efforts. While Hurricane Harvey is no longer in the news, the people of Beaumont have years of work left to do to recover from the 2017 storm. This June Credo continues the work and relationships we started last fall by returning to Beaumont with these same partner organizations.

Join us for the concluding performance of Credo's 2019 programs, and the final celebration of our year long 20th Anniversary Celebration!

Credo Music will present a program featuring Rimsky-Korsakov Scheherazade, Mozart Sinfonia Concertante with soloists Rachel Barton Pine and Matthew Lipman, and Tchaikovsky Serenade for Strings, Op. 48 in the beautiful Chicago Symphony Center, conducted by Peter Slowik. We hope you will join us!

Rachel Barton Pine, Violinist

Matthew Lipman, Violist

The recipient of a prestigious 2015 Avery Fisher Career Grant, 25-year-old American violist Matthew Lipman has been hailed by the New York Times for his "rich tone and elegant phrasing" and by the Chicago Tribune for his "splendid technique and musical sensitivity.” In demand as a soloist, he has recently performed concertos with the Minnesota, Illinois Philharmonic, Grand Rapids Symphony, Wisconsin Chamber, Juilliard, Ars Viva Symphony, Montgomery Symphony, Innsbrook and Eggenfelden Festival orchestras and recitals at the WQXR Greene Space in New York City and the Phillips Collection in Washington, DC.

Mr. Slowik’s experience as a leading pedagogue (faculty at Oberlin Conservatory, Eastman School of Music, Indiana University and more) combine with his orchestral performance background (Chicago Symphony Orchestra) to produce vivid and engaging performances.
