About Credo Boston
Credo Boston
August 19-23, 2024
Grace Chapel, Lexington, MA
Come experience the joy, excitement, passion, and achievement of Credo – right in your own back yard! Credo returns to Boston for a fun and intensive week, led by acclaimed artist-teachers. At Credo Boston we will Develop the Gift, Acknowledge the Source, and Respond in Service – training the whole musician and mentoring the whole person.
The week will include:
Chamber Music
Solo Master Classes
String Orchestra
Community Outreach
Final Performance
Each day will include an innovative and fun musicianship class by Credo Artistic Director Peter Slowik, profiled by theStrad magazine as “a man of limitless energy and purpose – he mentors high achievers who make their mark in top positions the world over.” Slowik will lead students on level-appropriate encounters with conducting, music theory, musical style, and practicing tips.
Each student is cherished at Credo. The environment nourishes the most accomplished pre-conservatory students as well as those participating in their first serious summer music festival.
Credo Boston is open to students in grades 6-12 who are in Suzuki Book 4 and above – students who can benefit from an individualized chamber music approach.
All serious string students age 12-18 will find a challenging home at Credo Boston. Advanced applicants for Credo Boston should also consider applying for the Credo National Festival. (Students attending both festivals will receive a sizable discount on the Boston Festival tuition.)
