Katie Talley, an Ohio native, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Lee University, where she studied voice with Mrs. Virginia Horton and was a member in Campus Choir under Dr. David Horton. Under their mentorship, Katie developed a deep passion for music education, Christian service, and excellence in teaching.She has served as a K–12 classroom music educator and maintained a thriving private voice and piano studio in Chattanooga from 2007 to 2021, helping dozens of students grow musically through relationship-centered instruction grounded in faith. In 2021, Katie transitioned into fine arts administration, serving first at Cadek Conservatory of Music and now at Bridges Academy of Music, advocating for the transformative power of music education. Katie lives in North Georgia with her husband, Joe, and their daughter, Lydia, an accomplished musician. She loves homeschooling Lydia, and together “The Talley Trio” enjoys serving others, building LEGO creations, and a love of literature.
