Lee Smith brings more than four decades of musical and educational experience to the Chattanooga community. A dedicated violinist, she has performed with the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra for 40 years, bringing a wealth of professional artistry and orchestral experience to her students. Lee also spent 20 years as a gifted education teacher, where she developed innovative, interdisciplinary approaches to learning, including “String Think,” a unique program integrating music, mathematics, and critical thinking. Now returning to her roots in the violin studio, Lee is delighted to nurture a new generation of young musicians. Her teaching blends the nurturing, high-standard approach of the Suzuki method with her extensive experience in education and critical thinking, fostering not only musical growth but also confidence, curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.
