Messiah Sing Along
Join us this December for one (or both!) of our two annual Messiah Sing Along concerts: one in Oberlin and the other in Chicago. The community comes together not only to enjoy and participate in beautiful music-making, but to generously support a local ministry. The dates for 2018 are:
Chicago: December 2 at 4 pm - Grace Lutheran Church in River Forest
Oberlin: December 16 at 7 pm - Finney Chapel at Oberlin College
Both performances are free and open to the public. Messiah scores can be rented for $5 at the door. A free will offering will be taken at the Chicago performance to benefit the Harmony Food Pantry, a ministry serving the North Lawndale community in Chicago. At the Oberlin performance the free will offering will benefit Neighborhood Alliance's Haven Center, a ministry serving homeless families in Lorain County, Ohio.
In 2017 we raised $2500 for the Harmony Food Pantry, and $2000 for Family Promise of Lorain County. We are grateful for all of the musicians and volunteers who gave generously of their time and talent, as well as our partner organizations: Oberlin College and Conservatory, Grace Lutheran Church in River Forest, IL, Harmony Food Pantry, Neighborhood Alliance's Haven Center, and Family Promise of Lorain County.
