Fellowship String Quartet Program
June 25 - July 16, 2023
Oberlin and Chicago
Two quartets of advanced conservatory string players age 20-24 will be selected to receive a FULL SCHOLARSHIP opportunity for Credo this summer. Fellowship Quartets will begin their service in Chicago with an intensive week of rehearsals, coachings, and community interface in Chicago, including:
Concerts at significant Chicago venues
Mentorship and teaching experiences through Ravinia
Community outreach and service through such community partners as Lawndale Christian Health Center
Following the Chicago week, Fellows will spend two weeks in residence at the Credo Festival – rehearsing, receiving coaching, and serving as counselors.
Recent Credo Fellowship alumni have attended Juilliard, Indiana, Northwestern, and Cleveland Institute of Music on major scholarships.
Special consideration will be made for Oberlin Conservatory students or returning Credo alumni. Selection for counselor positions will be by rolling admission, so apply as soon as possible. Final application deadline for Fellowship positions is March 30.
